The temporary closure of a portion of a runway , typically towards one of its ends (for example: work in progress at one runway end). The temporary changes to the declared distances of the runway as a result are also captured in this scenario.
Notes:
this scenario covers the closure of a runway portion at the beginning or the end of the runway;
this scenario does not cover the eventual change of the declared distances in both landing directions is also covered in this scenario; runway centerline points as a consequence for portion closure. For this situation refer to THR.CHG (if the closure is affecting the beginning of the runway and the centreline points are moved inwards) or to RDD.CHG if the declared distances are changed due to a closure at the end of the runwayor RDD.CHG, as needed.
this scenario does not cover the declared distance changes which are not caused by a runway portion closure;
this scenario does not cover the closure of a runway portion except for operations.
this scenario does not cover the change of the RWY width
