EV 1.0 wording: It is assumed that an “area of interest for obstacles” is available as BASELINE data for all airports that have an ICAO location designator and which are situated in the area of responsibility of the data provider. For international airports, this could be the Area 2 as defined by the ICAO Annex 15. For some airports (such as Innsbruck, Anchorage, etc.) this might be much larger.
Alternative wording: It is assumed that information about the area already exists in the form of VerticalStructure BASELINE TimeSlice(s) covering the complete period of validity of the event, coded as specified in the Coding Guidelines for the (ICAO) Obstacle Data Sets.
Data encoding rules
The data encoding rules provided in this section shall be followed in order to ensure the harmonisation of the digital encodings provided by different sources. The compliance with some of these encoding rules can be checked with automatic data validation rules.
