Ongoing tasks

• Maintain supporting material

  • Restructured supporting material pages so we can edit. See SWIM Service Description Handbook v2.0

    • Today:

      • Agree the look and feel.

      • Question on how best to handle the detailed JSON guidance - group it together so it can be maintained separately from the supporting material on the spec

      • SWIM-SERV-030 Service description identification gives a feel for a final page

      • Example - is new style for the tablular format good. JSON example not updated yet but will be consistent with the tabular format

        • Check if the example information definition can be deleted. Guidance on what an information definition contains can be provided instead.

      • Verification checklist added

    • Next:

      • Finish the bulk update and then open for detailed review and comment

  • Service Metadata Schema

    • ongoing work at https://github.com/eurocontrol-swim/service-metadata-schema/blob/sds-upgrade/compliant/SRV-CMP_SCHEMA.json 

    • everything required by the updated spec is integrated

    • still working on some documentation. The description element will be used to make sure the schema is 'self-documented'

    • things to note

      • reference mechanism

      • reworked the structure for e.g. service operations to make more flexible in line with spec

    • please review the ongoing work and send comments

      • see if the ability to search the schema will be provided

      • some names are specific to the artefact e.g. "DescriptionIdentification". Will that be continued or will a generic name be found?

      • will the description and definition version of the schema contain the same elements or will some elements not appear in the other?

  • Best practices to harmonise content of service description fields.

  • FAQ

    • new CP1 compliance question and answer can be moved. Add a link to service definition work.

• SWIM service ecosystem

  • Documenting the use of standardised implementations. Look at these in more detail at next meeting.
