Objectives of this meeting are:

Completed tasks

• ICAO Information Management Panel (IMP) had a meeting in late September to discuss the content of the PANS-IM.

  • Now we need to wait for the minutes of the meeting and, later, state letter and formal publication.

  • However, the information service overview got a new field that may affect us. See below.

• The updates to the SWIM Service Description Specification will be sent for formal stakeholder consultation in October.

  • EUROCONTROL's Standardisation Unit is running the process.

  • The Information Management Team (IMT) was informed about the updates on 8th October. It acknowledged that the formal consultation would take place.

• The CodeInformationDomainType categorisation scheme was published on 20th September. See: https://reference.swim.aero/information-services/service-categories.html

• FAQ

  • The current questions are being used by the community e.g. the question on GRIB2 has been applied by FMI and UK Met Office.

  • It was agree to move them to the Supporting Material site - e.g. FAQ - Semantic correspondence and FAQ - Service descriptions?

Ongoing tasks

• Retrospectives

  • Presentation capturing the retrospectives:

  • The presentation identified some overlaps in the experience of the SWIM community. These will be analysed and discussed at the next meeting.

  • There is a need to look at the upcoming ICAO Information Management Panel Job Card as it covers e.g. registry interoperability.

  • SESAR PJ14 may cover some aspects of AMQP topics. This document can be looked at during the next SSCONE meeting.

  • This will then allow us to work on the SWIM service ecosystem

• Information Service Overview Handbook v1.1

  • New field that requires the "information security category". We will need to analyse the impact if it gets accepted e.g.

    • Can we cover it in the new SWIM-SERV-009 that concerns categories or do we need a new requirement in the updated Specification?

    • Does it translate into an access and usage condition?

• OGC Service Discovery Service

  • This is available at https://portal.ogc.org/files/?artifact_id=94391

  • We need to analyse it to see how it affects the Registry and registry interoperability.
