Example service description

The SWIM Service Description Specification prescribes the minimum set of elements to be contained in a service description. However, it does not prescribe a specific format for the service description. Whatever the format, it is important to be able to satisfy the requirements.

This section of the handbook provides examples for a fictitious TOBTSetting service in different formats:

• Example service description - Donlon TOBT Setting Service. This is presented as a series of tables (such as those that could appear on a web page or in a document).
• Example service description using the Service Metadata Schema. This example uses the JSON format and conforms to the Service Metadata Schema.
