Introduction

Limitations

ED-99 defines the features and attributes that shall be contained in the AMDB digital data set, and this guidance provides a mapping of features and attributes from the ED-99 to the AIXM 5.1, thus creating ED-99 features in the AIXM 5.1 data exchange model.

ED-99 and the AIXM 5.1 are separated entities with specific rules and requirements. The provided output of this guidance material - the specimen, follows only the rules, requirements, and features from ED-99 (as mapped into the AIXM 5.1). The specimen represents the minimum AMDB digital data set. The AIXM 5.1 business rules are not considered in the specimen.

It is important to understand that the specimen represents the AMDB digital data set containing the minimum information required by ED-99. The AMDB digital data set can contain other additional information to be compliant with AIXM 5.1 business rules and other useful information.
