Welcome

Objectives of this meeting are:

  • update progress on tasks
  • plan new tasks

Update on tasks

Task list

The updated task list is at SSCONE-SITCOM Tasks.

Completed tasks

  • updates if any

Ongoing tasks

  • Service Metadata Schema
    • Start this task to ensure it is ready to support the updated service definition and description requirements.

Potential new tasks

  •  "review" some service descriptions
    • see whether they makes sense, can be improved, and could become "reference examples"
    • see how the Registry is mapped to the schema and the specification
  • supporting material
    • naming conventions e.g. topics for AMQP subscriptions
    • controlled vocabulary of verbs for functions
    • gazetteer of organisations to ensure consistent naming. Note, that SSCONE can agree the entries - the Registry has to implement them.
    • granularity of services e.g.
      • should SIGMET and METAR be separate services or can they be in one service
      • should request-reply and publish-subscribe interfaces be split into two services.
    • discoverability of services - how should information be added to service descriptions to allow them to be easily discovered e.g. tagging services
  • start documenting the SOA.
    • This is the SOA as it is implemented - built the aggregate picture based on actual services and how they relate etc
      • this will map information exchanges to values in the service categorisation schemes
    • How the Registry integrates
  • service definition supporting material

Any other business

  • EUROCAE-294 presentation
