Information exchange requirements drive the identification and definition of information services.
Information exchange requirements specify the who, why, what and how of information exchange and typically include the following aspects:
- Actors (involved in the exchange of information)
- Information Provider (E.g. AISP)
- Information Consume (E.g. Airspace User)
- Purpose (of the information exchange)
- Operational Needs (E.g. Pre-flight Briefing)
- Information (that is the "what" is exchanged)
- Information Elements (E.g. Aeronautical Information Features)
- Interaction (that specify how information is exchanged)
- Information Exchange Initiation ( E.g. whenever required by information consumer, whenever information changes,... )
- Information Exchange Frequency (E.g. Monthly in accordance with AIRAC )
- Filtering
- Non Functional Requirements
- Integrity required for the information exchanged
- Confidentiality of the information exchanged
- Constraints (additional considerations that influence the exchange of information)
- Technical Constraints (E.g. AIXM)
- Operational Constraints
- Legal Constraints
The below pictures captures the relationship between actors and the identified information exchange requirements in the context of the AIM CP1 SWIM services.
