Purpose and Scope

These pages contain the coding guidelines for the minimum and conditional data items related to the "Waypoint -  en-route" subject as defined in PANS-AIM.

AIP context

In an AIP, Waypoint - en-route information may be published in the following sections:

  • ENR 4.4 Name-code designators for significant points

Note

In the following, only general coding guidelines relevant for all kind of designated points and coding guidelines specific to the "Waypoint -  en-route" subject will be discussed.

The encoding of designated points specific for terminal procedures is not covered in the scope of the AIP data set coding guidelines.
