Context
A key objective of SWIM deployment is to ensure the harmonized and interoperable exchange of information in Europe. When it comes to aeronautical information exchange in the scope of AF5.3.1, AIM data is required to be exchanged based on the Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM 5.1 and beyond) and this shall be applied in a uniform manner based on common rules to ensure interoperability.
The aim of the project is to further accelerate the implementation of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/116, and specifically subfamilies AF 5.3.1 on aeronautical information exchange;
Specific objectives of the project
The objective of the project is to establish a service that facilitates the uniform provision, exchange and use of aeronautical information. The service will enable to assess the conformity of aeronautical datasets (any type of data expressed in AIXM format) providing conformity reports that describe the adherence of the datasets to specified criteria.
Expected results
By Q3 2025:
- Common rules for the harmonized exchange of AIXM data in the scope of AF5.3.1 implementation.
- A common service that is available to all implementers of AF5.3.1 that assesses the conformity of AIXM (version 5.1 and beyond) data to the common rules, as well as additional rules that can be defined by the users of the service.
Project Tasks
- Develop the Aeronautical Dataset Assessment Service (ADAS) building blocks
- Deploy ADAS
- Testing / pilot use of service
- Prepare long-term service maintenance
