ED-99/DO-272 Definition: A designated area on an apron intended to be used for parking an aircraft.
AIXM 5.1.1 Definition: (1) A defined area, on a land aerodrome, intended to accommodate aircraft for purposes of loading or unloading passengers, mail or cargo, fuelling, parking or maintenance. (2) A designated area on an apron intended to be used for parking an aircraft.



Options

AIXM 5.1.1 has

  • ApronElement feature that can be of type 'PARKING'.
  • AircraftStand feature that has a surface geometry.

It is possible to use either of these two features as the root mapping for the ED-99/DO-272 ParkingStandArea. Both options are presented here.

In order to have a complete correspondence the following extensions are needed:
