Aeronautical Ground Light [AGL]
Purpose and Scope
These pages contain the coding guidelines for the minimum and conditional data items of the Aeronautical Ground Lights subject as defined in PANS-AIM.
Ground lights and other light beacons designating geographical positions which are selected by the State as being significant.
AIP context
In an AIP, Aeronautical Ground Lights information may be published in the following sections:
- ENR 4.5 Aeronautical Ground Lights - En-Route,
- AD 2.15/3.15 Other lighting, secondary power supply.
AIXM Model Overview
The figure below shows the main AIXM 5 classes used for the aeronautical ground light concept.
The AeronauticalGroundLight class is used to define the basic elements, such as name, type and colour of it.
The AeronauticalGroundLight may mark the site of an AirportHeliport.
The AeronauticalGroundLight has a location defined by the Point class (see also Geometry).
