service definitions

A3SG-IER-04 Aerodrome Events Data Exchange

Abstract

This requirement describes the information exchanged by an Airport Operator with an AISP related to aeronautical information events.

Actors

The following actors are involved in this information exchange:

  • The Information Provider is the AO
    • only major airports identified in CP1 are expected to implement this information exchange as defined here
  • The Information Consumer is the AISP

Purpose

This exchange addresses the need for an applicable Airport Operator to share aeronautical information changes which are of temporary nature or provided on a short notice.

This information exchange relates to CP1 and it is particularly relevant for the major aerodromes referred in CP1.

The purpose is to improve the pre-flight information bulletins (PIB) services for the major airports referred in the CP1 regulation.

Information

The information exchanged relates to the communication of aeronautical information changes that are specific to an aerodrome.

The specific list of aeronautical events that have to communicated is defined as part of the scope of the Digital NOTAM Specification and its different scenarios. A non exhaustive list of such events is provided below.

Interaction

The information is expected to be exchanged between the identified stakeholders taking into account the following interaction characteristics:

  • The need to exchange information is based (triggered) on the need of the information provider (AO) to communicate to the information consumer (AISP) that there is an event. In other words. the AO is responsible to trigger the information exchange.
  • There is no exchange frequency determined, as the information is exchanged based on unplanned events.

Non Functional Requirements

There is no non functional requirement identified.

Constraints

The following constraints are not derived based on CP1/SDP requirements, however they are important considerations to ensure harmonized deployment:

  • Conformance to EUROCONTROL Digital NOTAM specification
  • Event information encoded in AIXM 5.1.1

Reference and Related Requirements

Other IERs

The information exchange covered in this section (A3SG-IER-04 Aerodrome Events Data Exchange) relates to other IERs in the landscape as described below:

CP1

It is not mandated by CP1 or SDP to implement this information exchange as a SWIM Service, however this is beneficial.

In terms of CP1, the information exchange covered in this section:
